Cancellation Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. How to Cancel
You can cancel your WordSpark subscription at any time from your account settings. No emails, no phone calls, no hoops to jump through.
2. What Happens When You Cancel
When you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to all features until that date.
After your billing period ends:
- Your subscription will not renew and you will not be charged again
- AI-powered features (Story Bible extraction, AI Chat, contradiction detection) will no longer be available
- You retain access to the editor, file organization, and import/export on the free tier
3. No Partial-Month Refunds
Because you keep full access through the end of your billing period, we do not issue refunds for unused portions of a month. This is standard practice for subscription services — you've paid for the month, and you get to use it.
4. Your Content Is Always Yours
Cancelling does not affect your content. You can export your manuscripts in DOCX or EPUB format at any time, including after your subscription ends. Your Story Bible data, characters, and all extracted entities remain in your account.
If you choose to delete your account entirely, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
5. Free Trial Cancellation
If you cancel during your 14-day free trial, nothing happens. You will not be charged. Your trial simply ends.
6. Reactivation
Changed your mind? You can resubscribe at any time. Your content, Story Bible data, and account settings will still be there when you come back.
